![]() ![]() Present a completed vision screening certificate during your appointment that meets the RMV's vision standards. ![]() Appear in-person (by appointment only) at an RMV Service Center or AAA office, and pass a vision test administered by the RMV or AAA personnel.If you are 75 years of age or older you have to follow certain guidelines when renewing your Class D or M driver's license: If you have mono-vision, or the ability to see at distance out of one eye, a vision screening certificate, completed by an optometrist or ophthalmologist and indicating that you are visually qualified to safely operate a motor vehicle, can be accepted in place of the computerized vision screening. If your vision is between 20/50 - 20/70 distant visual acuity in either eye, with or without corrective lenses, AND not less than 120 degrees combined horizontal peripheral field of vision, you may be eligible for a license with a “daylight only” restriction. Are able to distinguish the colors red, green and amber.Have not less than 120 degrees combined horizontal peripheral field of vision.Have at least 20/40 distant visual acuity in either eye, with or without corrective lenses.You're eligible for a Class D or Class M learner's permit and driver's license if you, at a minimum:
